However, from the current performance, the development of China's machinery manufacturing industry is still far from the Western manufacturing powerhouse. First, the total amount of energy consumption continues to increase. At the same time as the energy intensity dropped significantly, the total energy consumption of the manufacturing industry in 2015 increased by 2.45 times compared with 2010, and the dependence on oil consumption was close to 50%.
